There are four seasons in a year: summer, autumn, winter and spring. All seasons are good in their own way. , for example, is full of celebrations, presents and snow. Spring is the time of nature awakening and flower blooming. Autumn can be rainy and yet beautiful, full of multi-coloured leaves.
My favourite season is . I choose summer not only because my birthday is in July, but also because it’s the time of holidays. Summer is the season when the sun shines brightly, the sky is rarely cloudy and the water in the sea becomes warm enough to swim. Even if it becomes too hot, you can always go for a walk in the shady woods. I also like summer because there are many berries, fruit and vegetables, not to mention numerous flowers on the fields. Among them roses, daisies, dandelions and other . Sometimes the air in summer becomes stuffy, but occasional thunderstorms bring relief. After the thunderstorms the air becomes remarkably fresh and very often we can see the rainbow in the sky.
Summer is also the time when I and my family go on holiday to the seaside. It’s a wonderful time, when we can have a rest from the intense academic year and relax. I think all children love summer because of long school holidays and I’m no exception. I also enjoy my free time, playing with my friends, reading, and doing other fun activities. Nevertheless, I don’t forget to do some useful reading from time to time.

Лето, это также сезон, когда мы с родителями уезжаем в отпуск на берег моря. Это замечательное время, когда можно отдохнуть от напряженного учебного года и расслабиться. It’s a well-known fact that there are 4 seasons of the year: winter, spring, summer and autumn. Each of them has its advantages.
As for me, I like all seasons of the year. In winter I’m fond of skating and skiing. I enjoy playing snowballs with my friends. But for sure, sometimes it’s really cold in winter and I can’t go for a walk. For that reason I need to spend much time at home watching TV and playing computer games. And I like to spend time outdoors.
Spring and autumn are also marvellous. In spring everything is green. There is an atmosphere of love and tenderness. In autumn I like to spend time in different parks. All the leaves are red, yellow, and sometimes purple. You can make excellent photos.
But it’s not a secret that my favourite season is summer. You can ask me a simple question: “Why?” I can name you a million reasons for that. First of all, I keen on hot weather; I don’t like rains and winds. In summer the weather is really great. Also you can have a rest from your school classes. I like to study, but every pupil is tired at the end of the academic year. In summer I enjoy spending time by the sea. I also like to bask in the sun. I’ve got a cool bicycle, so I usually ride it. My grandparents live in a village, and in summer I like to spend some weeks there, swimming in the river, fishing, picking mushrooms and berries.
My favourite season is summer, but I can find beauties in each season of the year.

Всем известно, что существует 4 поры года: зима, весна, лето, осень. И каждая из них имеет свои преимущества.
Что касается меня, я люблю все поры года. Зимой я увлекаюсь катанием на коньках и лыжах. Я люблю играть в снежки с друзьями. Но, конечно, иногда зимой очень холодно, и я не могу пойти на прогулку. По этой причине мне приходится проводить много времени дома: смотрю телевизор и играю в компьютерные игры. Но я люблю проводить время на свежем воздухе.
Весна и осень также прекрасны. Весной везде всё зелёное. Весной царит атмосфера любви и нежности. Осенью я люблю проводить время в разных парках. Все листики красные, жёлтые, а иногда и фиолетовые. Вы можете сделать замечательные фотографии осенью.
Но не секрет, что моя любимая пора года – лето. Вы можете задать мне простой вопрос: «Почему же?» Я могу назвать миллион причин этого. Прежде всего, я помешан(а) на очень тёплой погоде, я не люблю дожди и ветра. Летом погода действительно великолепная. Также летом можно отдохнуть от школьных уроков. Я люблю учиться, но каждый ученик устаёт к концу учебного года. Летом я люблю проводить время на курорте. Также я люблю загорать на солнце. У меня есть крутой велосипед, поэтому я часто езжу на нём летом. Мои бабашка и дедушка живут в деревне, и летом я люблю провести несколько недель у них. Там я люблю плавать в речке, ловить рыбу, собирать грибы и ягоды.
Моя любимая пора года – лето, но я могу найти прекрасное в каждой поре года.

Summer is my favourite season. I like it because there are holidays in summer.
Nature is beautiful and colourful. Birds are singing in the forest.
In summer we have a rest at the Black sea. We build castles on the sand .
I swim, visit an aquapark, a dolphinarium and an oceanarium.
In the evening we look at sunset. Once we saw a thunderstorm at the sea.
I like to spend my time in my native town Gubakha, too. My brother Igor and my sister Yulya visit me in summer.

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. Every season is beautiful in its own way.
When spring comes nature awakens from its long winter sleep. The days become longer and the nights become shorter. The ground is covered with emeraldgreen grass and spring flowers. The air is fresh, the sky is blue and cloudless, and the sun shines brightly. The trees are in full blossom. The nightingale begins to sing its lovely songs, and sweet melodies may be heard from every wood and park. The days are warm and everything is full of life and joy.
Spring is followed by summer. The weather is usually fine in summer, but it can be very hot, especially in July. Sometimes there are storms with thunder and lightning. In summer people try to get away from the city noise and spend more time in the open air. They pick mushrooms and berries in the forest, swim in the rivers and lakes, go fishing and boating. Most people prefer to have their holidays in summer.
Autumn begins in September. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The leaves turn yellow, red and brown and fall to the ground. Most birds fly away to warm countries. There"s a short spell of dry sunny weather in September which is called Indian Summer. It"s a beautiful time when the sky is cloudless, the trees around are golden, the air is transparent and it"s still warm. But gradually it gets colder and colder. It often rains in October and November which makes autumn an unpleasant season.
In winter the sun sets early and rises late. The rivers and lakes are frozen over. Everything is covered with snow. Sometimes it"s very cold, about 25-30 degrees below zero. Going out in such weather isn"t very pleasant. Winter is a good time for sports. People go in for skating and skiing. Tobogganing is also popular, not as a kind of sports, but rather as fun.
As for me, I like all seasons, but I think there"s nothing like late spring.

It"s a universal truth that every season is beautiful in its own way. Isn"t it wonderful to tramp down the country lanes on a frosty winter day. Everything is white with snow and it crunches under your feet. The rime sparkles on the branches and the icicles like precious diamonds hang from the roofs of the houses.
It"s a merry time for both children and grownups. They can go skating and skiing, sledging and having a fight with snowballs or making a snowman. I suppose, it is very pleasant while the frost lasts, an unpleasant time comes when the thaw begins.
Cars and buses go along streets splashing the mud an slush on the passers-by. Everyone is grumbling and scolding the weather. But soon a warm wind blows up heavy grey clouds and the sun shines brightly in the cloudless azure sky. In a few months summer will come.
Summer is the most suitable season for holidays and vacations. People enjoy bright summer days if they are in the country or at the seaside. They go bathing and swimming, and fishing and boating. But it"s unbearable to stay in town on such hot and glaring days. Everybody droops and shambles and tries to hide in the shade.
Then after a good rest autumn and harvest time comes. The corn has turned golden and the farmer will reap it and put it in his barn. The air is fresh and full of the autumn fragrance of ripe apples, plums and peaches and of course, coloured asters, chrysanthemums.
But the weather is so changeable in autumn, people have to wear raincoats and umbrellas if they don"t want to get wet through. The dead leaves cover the ground like a thick motley carpet, the roads are slippery and wet, there are lots of puddles in the streets and again everyone is looking forward to frosty winter days and much snow out-of-doors.
It"s rather difficult to say what season is the best one, however dull and nasty or charming and marvellous the weather may be.
As to me, I always look forward to summer. I am never tired of its long sunny days, warm rains with thunderstorms and hail, the buzz of mosquitoes and midges. I like to spend my summer holidays at the seaside.
In my childhood I used to enjoy playing on the beach, making castles and forts in the sands. When one becomes older one begins to notice the murmur of the sea and it"s so beautiful to look at the moon"s way on the water in the darkness. The air is fresh and it"s easy to breathe.
I like to lie in the sun getting as brown, paddle in the water or get splashed by the waves. But it"s not every year that you can go to the seaside. Sometimes I spend my holidays in the country. Most of my time I spend in the woods gathering strawberries and flowers or at the river bathing and swimming in it.
Very often, I help my granny in the vegetable garden weeding it or gathering tomatoes, cucumbers or radish. I like to walk in the rain or just sit indoors watching the raindrops falling down from the green leaves and blades of the grass onto the ground.
When summer is over, I always
feel sorry, because it was too short and was too quick to pass.

Машины и автобусы, едущие по улицам, разбрызгивают грязь и талый снег на прохожих. Каждый ворчит на погоду и ругает ее. Но вскоре теплый ветер разгоняет тяжелые серые тучи, и солнце светит ярко в безоблачном лазурном небе. Через несколько месяцев придет лето.
Лето - самое подходящее время для отпусков и каникул. Люди наслаждаются яркими солнечными днями, если они в деревне или на море. Они купаются и плавают, ловят рыбу и катаются на лодках. Но невыносимо находиться в городе в такие жаркие и палящие дни. Все сутулятся к волочат ноги, пытаясь спрятаться в тени.
Затем, после хорошего отдыха, приходит осень, время уборки урожая. Пшеница стала золотой, и фермеры соберут ее и засыпят в амбары. Воздух свеж и полон осеннего аромата спелых яблок, слив, персиков и, конечно, разноцветных астр и хризантем.
Но осенью погода такая изменчивая, людям приходится носить плащи и зонтики, если они не хотят промокнуть насквозь. Опавшие листья покрывают землю толстым пестрым ковром, дороги скользкие и мокрые. На улицах много луж, и опять все с нетерпением ожидают морозных зимних дней.
Довольно трудно сказать, какое время года самое лучшее, какой бы скучной и ненастной или прелестной и изумительной ни была погода.
Что касается меня, я всегда с нетерпением жду лета. Я никогда не устаю от его длинных солнечных дней, теплых дождей с грозами и градом, жужжанием комаров и мошек. Мне нравится проводить летние каникулы на море.
В детстве я часто любил играть на пляже, делая замки и крепости из песка. Когда человек взрослеет, он начинает замечать особенный шум моря. Так красиво, когда смотришь в темноте на лунную дорожку на воде. Воздух свежий, и легко дышится.
Мне нравится загорать, становиться коричневым, плескаться в воде, или когда тебя забрызгивают волны. Но не каждый год можно поехать к морю. Иногда я провожу каникулы в деревне. Большую часть времени я провожу в лесу, собирая землянику и цветы, или у реки, купаясь и плавая в ней.
Я часто помогаю бабушке в огороде, полю сорняки или собираю помидоры, огурцы или редис. Мне нравится гулять под дождем или просто сидеть в доме, наблюдая как капли дождя стекают по зеленым листочкам и стебелькам травы на землю.
Когда заканчивается лето, мне всегда жаль этого,
потому что оно было таким коротким и так быстро пролетело.
